We are networked with other service organizations throughout the Inland Empire and beyond. Helping electronically distribute the most current programs and changes not only in the current VA administration, but also other organizations who provide services to our veterans and their families.
Chapter 879 receives inquiries asking for suggestions and assistance from veterans of all ages and eras plus other service organizations. We of the Vietnam Veterans of America feel there is nothing more important to us than veterans and their families. And we demonstrate that commitment regularly.
Our chapter is also a member of the Eastern Washington Veterans Task Force which meets monthly to discuss veterans programs that the task force groups are pursuing. We liaison with the Spokane Veterans Center to discuss and assist with their goals and future needs.
We also represent our chapter by being involved with the VVA Washington State Council. State Council meetings are held twice yearly. This council represents all chapters at their state level. And the VVA State Council maintains communication with our Washington State Department of Veteran Affairs.
Our VVA Chapter 879 is always on a recruitment campaign to add more members onto our roster. This is important because the more members we maintain the more Delegates we can bring to Washington State VVA Council. If you are a Vietnam Era Veteran, we urge you to join. There is strength in numbers.
In Solidarity,
John Cooper
Pres. /Chapter 879
